· New Details on Shutterfly Account! Christian Temple is in the process of setting up a Shutterfly Account to include all those interested. Members will be able to post pictures of church activities and events, as well as view other Christian Temple members’ pictures. The site will be administered by Nancy Saks, Christian Temple Historian. Over the next few weeks, you will receive an email on behalf of Nancy from Shutterfly or sfly.com (It may read noreply@sfly.com or mail@sfly.com as well.) Once you open this email you can choose to Join or Decline. If you decide to join, then the directions are very easy to follow. (Please note you do not need to give any payment information in order to join the Christian Temple Events site.) If you have questions about sign-up, please contact Nancy Saks at hnsaks@aol.com or the church office at office@christiantemple.org or 410-747-2041.
· CCCA Corn Roast & Chicken Dinner– This Saturday, August 17th! Straight from CCCA’s Facebook page: “Our annual Corn Roast, Chicken Dinner, and Camp Reunion is coming up soon! Saturday, August 17, 10 am - 2 pm, at the Pavilion at Camp Mary Mac. All the corn you can eat for free! Chicken dinners for only $7, and you can purchase hot dogs, steamers, and desserts on top of that. Family friendly with kid’s fun & games. Lots of musical groups (let us know if you are interested!) No tickets necessary, but you can RSVP at mail@cccadisciples.com to help us with the count. Plan now to attend!”
· CPR/ AED/ First Aid Training– Just a reminder to those who have signed up, Christian Temple will be holding its training class on Sunday, August 18th (1PM) which will cover Adult & Child/Infant CPR/AED and First Aid. The training will be approximately 3 hours and the cost is $80 per participant (includes a 2 year certification card). AND, don’t forget, a light lunch will be provided prior to the training!
· Music on the Hill (August 25th 3-7pm) at Christian Temple is a family fun, music festival to benefit the Catonsville Community. The Samaritan Women and Catonsville Emergency Assistance will be the beneficiaries this year. We are looking for bakers, please contact Amy Luking aluking@verizon.net to donate a cake for the cake walk. If you would rather make individually wrapped items for the bake sale, let Barb Gough know at bbgnurse@comcast.net Thanks!
· Paul’s Place- Donations to Paul’s Place are happily received by the guests who rely on your generosity. Alas, neither storage space nor repair options exist, so only in-season items in good condition can be accepted. Thanks!
· Catonsville Farmers’ Market- Don’t forget to stop by the Farmer’s Market this summer. Wednesdays (10am-1pm) in the lower parking lot. Visit http://www.catonsvillefarmersmarket.com/ for details about the various vendors who will be onsite.
