The Seed: June 11, 2023

June 11, 2023

Dear Christian Temple Family,

In my time as a nonprofit development professional, I have learned a few things. The primary thing is that small nonprofits, like Christian Temple, rarely meet fundraising goals because they don't tell their funders what they need. We rely on people to catch the vision themselves for what is possible in the next year and inevitably miss out on an opportunity to highlight the incredible things we have planned.

Over the last month, we have been encouraging you to get connected through our Every Person Connected campaign. We intentionally designed it so that you see that stewardship to the church is not defined solely to financial giving. In doing so, we've unintentionally taken the attention off of what our very real financial needs are in order to bring our programmatic dreams to fruition.

In the next few days, you will hear about all that we are planning, namely a major growth in children's and youth ministry programming to keep up with our major growth in children and youth attendees. In order to do so, we have to consider growing our expectations and goals of our finances.

I hope you will prayerfully consider what that means for your own commitment to Christian Temple. We have great days ahead and John and I are going to be very clear about the hopeful vision we have for Christian Temple so that we can move into the future together.

Grace and peace,

Katie
