The Seed Newsletter: April 9, 2023

Dear Christian Temple,

On Palm Sunday, we gathered together and talked about holding all of the emotions of life together at the same time; this is something that is completely human. That is life. Tomorrow, we gather for a remembrance that will cause us to do that same type of living in the tension. Tomorrow is Good Friday.

On this sacred day we will remember and we will mourn Jesus’ death together. Fortunately for all of us, we know that death is not the end of the story. But, we must mark this moment and remember this death because resurrection isn’t possible without it. That is life.

So, come join in tomorrow. This Good Friday service will be a somber remembrance but it will also be completely inclusive. If you would like to be involved in a small way there are many different ways to participate for people of all ages. Please, arrive 15 minutes early so that we can include you in the time of worship. There will be a children’s order of worship and children of all ages are invited to participate in the service itself. We will strip the altar and prepare the way for Sunday.

Speaking of Sunday, our Easter Sunrise Service begins at 8:30 and will be followed by breakfast, an egg hunt, a coffee bar, and a special worship service at 11:00. Invite your friends and come celebrate!

We will hold all of these emotions together.

Much love,

John
