9-11 RESPOND TO THE CALL WORKDAY
September 10 was the date for our annual day of remembrance and service in the community, honoring the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 tragedies. With a variety of work-sites, we had need of all levels of strength and skills.
On this day:
191 volunteers!
175 gift bags from Glynn Taff; 16 Glynn Taff residents participating ( plus our volunteers)
96 gift bags from the Watson-Hall School
recreation room at Children's Home painted
52 casseroles (520 meals)
shelves restocked (ReStore)
36 baby caps knitted
broken up sidewalks, trees planted, weeds pulled, dead branches removed
many dozens of perennials planted
apples, beans and peppers harvest repairs, odd jobs at Christian Temple
landscape transformation at Catonsville Emergency Food Ministry
